Diverting opioids off the street is a primary objective of both the IPA and Compassion Center. Therefore IPA prohibits the recommendation of narcotics at any/all of it's associated Teach1Serve10 Free-Clinic Events. While it is understood that these clinics only provide a limited range of care and services, we must disclose this to those who wish to participate up front in order for the event to be fair. We're only here to deliver help.
Teach1Serve10.org is a community based partnership between the the Integrative Providers Association (IPA) and the Compassion Center, local community-based organizations and other local businesses and local business leaders just like you - which assist us to realize both measurable and compassionate logical impacts that can be felt locally in the workforce and supporting economies. When one heals, we all heal.
Uncompensated care has cost American healthcare systems over $745 Billion since the year 2000, and there is no end in sight. That equates to a lot of debt regardless of your health insurance status. It's time we all try something radically different to stop the ongoing hemorrhaging of our systems and restore real stability in our healthcare systems. How many more Hahnemann University Hospitals have to close before we step up? Take a stand, join IPA today!
Each Teach1Serve10 Free-Clinic sets out with a conservative goal to deliver care for upwards of ~5,000+/- locally qualified, citizens providing any one or more care solutions for pain management, minor health issues and other conditions that would normally go untreated due to a lack in insurance coverage and/or inconsistent medical supervision. Each visit saving upwards of $1,300.00 or more depending on the indication that resulted in the visit.
Opioid overdoses hit a new record in 2022. Non-Narcotic pain management solutions are not just highlighted but promoted with patients who are effectively seeking an affective alternative to their existing opioid medications. Furthermore: As a matter of patient safety, the IPA will not allow its [student] providers to recommend opioids to any patients at any of its ongoing events or IPAC medical conferences. No more.
Teach1Serve10 Attendees are provided with many viable alternatives to opioids for their chronic pain, and additional access to other (state) programs for social services, and other secondary resources. In some cases, the medical professionals provide a mix of conventional, ancient, Ayurvedic or Chinese medicine and even acupuncture to address intense chronic pains, but in any case, always providing safer alternatives are paramount to successful treatment.
Drawing expertise from every corner of public health, mental health and civic duty, the IPA amalgamates select groups of local professionals at key points in time to compound social services for those who are in attendance, who are also in need, stretching the most out every outreach dollar. From health and legal clinics to career development workshops, IPA is leading towards measurable impacts that further strengthen and empower our local communities thru integrative wholeness and inclusion for a better tomorrow.
The current state of healthcare is in peril due to a variety of systemic breakdowns, but the breakdowns that surround opioid use disorder are disrupting society, and crushing our misconceptions of "health". The T1S10 Clinics address a variety of the circumstantial factors affecting society. Especially those regarding our emerging opioid addiction and overdosing crisis. We provide patients with ongoing non-opioid pain management solutions that address intractable pain for underserved citizens who are trying to escape the pain cycle.
When minor health issues, minor offenses, food and shelter issues and/or joblessness factor into our ability to fend for ourselves, the local economy becomes unstable and suffers as a result of the cyclic breakdown in workforce stability or associated supply chains, not to mention the compounded effects it has on the hospitality and service industries. IPA sets up local job fairs and only allows companies who are currently hiring to sponsor those portions of the event so that gets people get back to work. Come see why Teach1Serve10 is so great!
Using a very specific ratio of 1:10 and an established formula of educating providers, Integrative Providers Association and Compassion Center orchestrate a free-clinic that cares for approximately 10 patients for every provider educated. Patients are seen for any one or more specific conditions, provided an exam and recommendation, and sent home with tools, resources and follow up referrals for after-care should that be necessary. Since programs target those who do not qualify otherwise for medicare, medicaid or assistance, and cannot afford insurance - all who fit into those categories qualify for the free health care - it lowers the burden of uncompensated care on the local health districts and hospital systems that run emergency rooms.

As healthier futures are being brought within reach for each of our attendees, the providers being educated with CME are also learning new, healthier directions and ways to lead their patients to wellness.
From Breathing Exercises to Non-Narcotic Solutions, the need for opioids is explored by expert professionals in pain management. Restorative yoga takes on a new meaning with a new direction in healthcare.
Qualifying patients get a no-cost recommendation (minus state fee) to any qualifying state medical program (if any exist) and an education on the best practices, dosing and/or safety considerations.
Farmers, co-ops, wholesalers and buyers-clubs convene to work with local professionals to bridge the gaps by further educating, empowering and aligning the patients with the nutritional tools and fitness cycles to live a healthy life.
From Landlord-Tenant law to Immigration, Labor & Wage law, expungements, record sealing and minor criminal case review - these clinics are geared towards serving those who need it most.
Opioid overdoses are more than preventable as long as we educate the patients and the providers on the best practices regarding chronic and acute pain-management, and with your help, we can all work together to fully limit the impact that opioid deaths have made on each of our small-town communities.
